Operating System
The 64-bit version of Windows Vista Home Premium (with SP1) is the operating system for users with advanced computer needs, and it includes all of the Windows Media Center capabilities for turning your PC into an all-in-one home entertainment center for watching DVD movies and accessing your digital audio library. You can also use Windows Media Center to record and watch your favorite TV shows (even HDTV) and to access new kinds of online entertainment content. Well first this is a beautiful laptop and pretty fast for its price point. It has amazing sound, a gorgeous screen and a myriad amount of ports including 4 USB ports and an Esata port. Now the bad. It is the biggest fingerprint magnet I have ever owned, from the outer shell to the area around the keyboard and touchpad. The touchpad is pretty unresponsive, it takes multiple tries to move the onscreen cursor. Also the Os crashes whenever the function button is pressed, but thats a software problem not hardware. It has to do with Toshibas software that is supposed to pop up when you press it. Unfortunately its what controls the screen brightness and some other functions. Next time I will do a little more research and make a better informed buy.
